The ๐ฅ Stuff We Actually Spent Money On
It's the little things that make a big difference when you're on stage. OnSong is WAY more than just a glorified PDF reader for musicians. Srsly, it's got the chops & the horsepower to keep your live set from imploding. Peep some of the bonkers features below that somehow work together & don't totally break.
Autoscroll
OMG, your music is finally digital & you can stop flappin' around like a confused bird turnin' pages! Autoscroll turns your device into a teleprompter situation so you can scroll through your song & your entire set without liftin' a finger. Just tell it how long the song is & let it do its thing. Or if you're the micromanagey type, grab Timeline & go to town.
Flow
So your song's autoscrollin' & suddenly you're like "ZOMG I need to repeat this part like 47 times!" Instead of the nightmare copy-paste dance, Flow lets you control the whole arrangement & layout of your song. Slap a flow tag on repeats & toggle 'em on & off like the control freak you are.
Heads-Up Display
When you switch songs in OnSong, the menubar tells you what song you're on. Cool, I guess? But WAITโswipe left or right over the song name & you get different views of whatever you actually care about: sets, timers, audio control... it's like we almost made it useful.
Quick Pick
Most musicians come prepared with their setlist locked & loaded, but then some rando requests a song & you panic. Quick Pick lets you tap the song name in the menubar & type like your fingers are on fire. A few letters of the title or artist & BAMโsong added. You're welcome, you spontaneous legend.
Messages
Talkin' to your band on stage is basically impossible unless you develop some weird hand signals or start yellin' pitch corrections (gross). OnSong lets you flash colored text messages on everyone's screen so y'all can actually communicate without lookin' like you're havin' a seizure. Pair it with a foot pedal or Timeline & keep your hands where they belong.
Moments
Your event is more than just songs, bestie. Moments lets you dump extra stuff on your setlist & turn it into an actual runsheet so you don't completely bomb the whole thing. Give each song & moment a time budget & watch the magic happen (or watch the chaos, idk).
Pitch Pipe
Singin' a cappella & suddenly forget what the heck you're supposed to sound like? OnSong's got your backโassign an action to play the pitch & it spits out the notes in your song's key. Customize the notes & octave if you're feelin' fancy & your arrangement is bonkers.
Timeline
Wanna automate literally EVERYTHING about your song? OnSong lets you scroll, pick lyrics projection sections, trigger actions & coordinate MIDI devices all in one slick timed sequence saved with the song. It's basically magic, but like, boring magic.
Viewport
Maybe you only care about one chunk of your sheet music & want the rest to go away. Zoom, position, & then save that exact view with Viewport so when the song loads you're already starin' at the good part. You're welcome for this absolute game-changer.
