The Tone Police

OnSong can automatically play the pitch of your song through an action. Basically, we made your iPad a tiny synthesizer. You're welcome.

By default, OnSong will play the pitch of the key of the song. But if you're feeling spicy, you can use the pitch tag in your song to customize the notes that get blasted at you to get you started. Like, instead of just one sad root note, you could play a whole chord & sound like you actually know what you're doing. If your chart is in the key of A, you could set the pitch tag to:

{pitch: A C# E}

You can also, like, optionally specify the octave of the pitch by throwing a number after the note like this:

{pitch: A4 C#5 E5}

When you perform the action through a foot pedal, screen tap, sticky note, or whatever baroque control scheme you've rigged up, the pitch outputs as a clean sine wave tone. Srsly, it's basically a tiny bleepin' concert hall in your pocket. No roadie required.
